The Consortium of Catholic Academies is pleased to announce Innaree A., a 6th grader at St. Anthony Catholic School, as the 2012 Ms. Paula Scholar.

The CCA Board of Directors established the Ms. Paula Scholarship in memory of the Speaker John A. Boehner's long time chief of staff, Paula Nowakowski whose work on Capitol Hill was guided by the values of her Catholic identity.

The Ms. Paula Scholarship is awarded annually to a student who has achieved academic excellence and demonstrates a commitment to his or her faith.

Innaree has attended St. Anthony’s Catholic School since second grade. She says her favorite thing about school is that the teachers are nice and they use fun activities to teach new concepts.

Innaree's enthusiasm for learning is apparent. Long time teacher Sr. Jo Ebert describes her as “a wonderful, gently mannered young lady. She is a pleasure with whom to work, consistently prepared for classes, eager to achieve, and very positive with regard her interaction among her peers and her teachers."

Innaree believes that she will do a good job being a role model for the “little kids” at school and she plans to work hard to become a good CCA ambassador at special events.

Congratulations Innaree!
