St. Anthony Catholic School is proudly celebrating its 90th year of academic excellence rooted in Gospel values.
Students are exposed to the arts, band, computers, library skills, music, physical education, and Spanish. Recent additions include a variety of extra-curricular clubs and the reinstatement of both the school choir and CYO sports program.
Teaching the faith is vital to the school's mission. Students have daily religious instruction, focus on a specific virtue each month, and celebrate the liturgy every Monday. Students are also encouraged to join the parish choir, boy scouts, girl scouts, altar servers, and other youth ministries.
St. Anthony students are both taught the faith and given opportunities to live it out. Service learning is explicitly integrated into the culture of St. Anthony. Each classroom organizes a service project. This may include visiting a local nursing home or raising money for tsunami victims. School-wide service projects include community outreach such as participating in a canned food drive or walking to raise awareness for the homeless.
Classes offered begin in Pre-K through 8th grade. To learn more about St. Anthony School, visit their website at http://www.stanthonyschooldc.org/.
